City Hosts Ongoing Scavenger Hunt for Plush Horse Named ‘Sammy Clarita’

| Community | April 20, 2017

Residents can celebrate Santa Clarita’s 30th anniversary by keeping their eyes peeled for a sighting of Sammy Clarita, a plush horse that will be in attendance at events and facilities this year. The 4-inch horse will be hidden for residents of all ages to search for. They can follow the city’s official Instagram account (@cityofsantaclarita) for clues on Sammy’s hiding places. His first appearance will be at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival taking place on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23 at the William S. Hart Park Event Area.

In order to participate in the search there are three rules:
If you find Sammy more than once, leave him for someone else to find.
Post a Sammy selfie on Instagram with the hashtag #IFoundSammyClarita when you find him.
Take him home and make him your “furever friend.”

Sammy Clarita is part of the City’s “30 and Thriving” anniversary celebration. For more information on Sammy Clarita or the city’s 30th anniversary, visit santa-clarita.com/30Years.
