New Board Chairman at SCV Chamber

Troy Hooper, general manager of the Tournament Players Club, has been named the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce 2018 Chairman of the Board. Currently, Troy serves on the executive committee of the SCV Chamber of Commerce and has participated in multiple charity events and business alliance boards.

“I am honored to serve as the next chairman of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and look forward to continuing the momentum that John Musella began this year,” Hooper said. “The Chamber represents 1,000 members, which are made up of businesses located in the third largest city in Los Angeles County.”

Troy joined TPC in August 2016, coming from a private club in Orange County. He is a lifelong operations manager in the travel and hospitality industry.

“Troy Hooper has been a tremendous asset to our board this year and brings an important perspective on member and business services,” said John Musella, chairman of the Chamber Board. “Troy has a proven track record of business accomplishments, as we have all witnessed with his success at TPC. He will be a great chairman for the Chamber and I’m pleased to turn over the organization to him.”

Hooper takes over as chairman on January 1, 2018, but will be ceremonially installed on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the organization’s annual Awards and Installation Gala local businesses and business leaders are honored. It will be held at the TPC in Valencia.
