Santa Train Benefits Kids

| Community | November 30, 2017

Each year the Fillmore & Western Railway shares the holiday spirit with local kids when the decorated train brings Santa up and down the tracks. In cooperation with the Ventura County Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Fillmore Fire Department and other agencies, the vintage train will take a non-passenger trip from Ventura to Fillmore this Saturday, so Santa can hand out candy canes along the way and wish everyone a merry Christmas. The train will stop at Montalvo Metrolink Station, Northbank, Saticoy, Santa Paula and Fillmore stations.

Santa will also be collecting unwrapped toys for the Rotary Clubs of Fillmore and Santa Paula to distribute to the needy children up and down the Santa Clara Valley. The stops are scheduled for:

5:00 PM – 5:15 PM – Montalvo Metrolink Station
5:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Montgomery & Northbank in East Ventura
6:15 PM – 6:30 PM – Alelia Street – Saticoy Depot
7:15 PM – 7:40 PM – Santa Paula Depot & Railroad Plaza
8:30 PM – 8:50 PM – Sespe Street & Old Telegraph Road in Fillmore
