Talk About Collusion:

Seriously, it looks like the two leading liberal writers for The Signal call each other when they each get a bug up their butts over Trump and say something like, “Hey, you want to go after Trump this week?”  Because, lo and behold, they graced the opinion page on consecutive days this past week with columns regurgitating the same stuff they spewed the last umpteen times they’ve gone off on the president. Can’t these guys come up with anything new?

It would be somewhat refreshing if they would get down to debating issues that really affect the folks who read the paper, not the typical Trump-bashing we get by watching CNN or listening to Juan Williams on “Fox News.” Why don’t they at least talk about Democrat policies vs. Trump’s, based on the crucial areas most of us are very concerned about?

Instead, we get stuff like “the narcissist in chief,” no loyalty because of “three marriages,” Trump engaging in a chit-chat speech to 20,000 kids at the Boy Scout Jamboree who are “hormone-infused, pimply-skinned kids.” (Never mind those 20,000 kids were loudly chanting “We love Trump” for much of the speech.) “Common decency demands we put an end to this charade of ‘presidential conduct’”; “If we are to remain a principled nation, Trump must simply go”; and “His crude but effective marketing skills have persuaded millions of Americans that bullying, ineptitude and endless grievance are ‘modern day presidential’ qualities.”

I’m not sure what any of this rhetoric has to do with solving the many problems we face as a nation, at home and abroad. Maybe these gents can find it in their fingers to point out how they think these challenges should be handled instead of mindless bashing.

Advertisment

 It’s a Puzzlement:

It’s puzzling how Trump-haters are quick to point out personality traits and unproven innuendos on the other side without mentioning the obvious and proven misdeeds from their side.

*Hillary’s net worth rose by millions while she was secretary of state.

*Obama released Guantanamo Bay prisoners who went back to kill Americans.

*Eric Holder sold guns to criminal drug cartels and some of those guns were used to kill Americans.

*The IRS under Obama targeted conservative groups.

*Obama had close ties to terrorists Rashid Khalidi and Bill Ayers.

*Obama allowed the national debt to explode.

*Hillary Clinton’s state department approved the transfer of 20 percent of America’s uranium holdings to Russia, while nine investors in the deal funneled $145 million to the Clinton Foundation.

The list could go on longer, but the point should be well taken. Their side had bad apples and policy decisions that backed fired badly. Now, the other side has a duly elected president who at times can be crude, vulgar and undignified at times, but has goals to really make us great again. If those on the left would just leave the guy alone to get the job done to help keep us safe and prosperous, we would all be better off. But you know what really is going to happen and all you have to do is read the liberal opinions in The Signal to see all of the negative spin that helps no American!

 A Slow Boil to Death:

The biggest hang-up Congress is facing with the healthcare mess is who gets more,  who gets less, who pays more, who pays less? The mentality of the government having to be everything for most everybody is slowly killing our nation like a nice warm bath, putting us to sleep, and when we wake up we’re boiled to death!

Spending on entitlements is the highest it’s been in our history. More Americans rely on government handouts than ever before. The proportion of Americans accepting antipoverty aid has soared over the last 57 or so years, and both parties are to blame. While I really liked the $900 President Bush sent out during the Recession, it was a foolish thing to do.

Obviously, the increased entitlement spending is fueling the national debt by dangerous leaps and bounds. We are inching slowly-but-surely to an economic disaster that could threaten our way of normal, comfortable life, as well as our safety. It will be especially tragic for the very young and old.

While many pairs of underwear are knotted up with anxiety over political correctness, LBGT rights, presidential acumen, meetings with Russians and other nonsense, we are blinded with a false sense of security of all being well in our secure little bubbles, which are destined to be painfully popped.

To be fair, I ripped Obama numerous times on his dereliction duty of not shouting from the rooftop regarding too much spending and debt. With this particular looming disaster, President Trump is dropping this huge ball as badly as Obama did. At this point, my guess is it will take a scary wake-up call to get everybody’s attention on this.

Quotes of the Week:

“Our nation stands at the crossroads of liberty. Crushing national debt, rampant illegal immigration, insane business regulations and staggering national unemployment are pushing our nation into unchartered territory.” (James Lankford)

“Let’s be honest about this; the liberal agenda with failed stimulus plans and government entitlement programs is crippling our economy and our quality of life.” (Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King)

People do not let you know how they feel. They’re very nice to your face, and then they take a shiv or a machete and they stab it in your back. … I’m more of a front-stabbing person.” (New White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci)

“The people I care most about are the middle-income people in this country, who have gotten screwed. And if there’s upward revision, it’s going to be on high-income people.” (President Trump)

Letter to the Ranter:

It is a shame that Democrats unfairly criticize President Trump, especially from California, a once great state that they put into the gutter. It wasn’t President Trump who unfairly made us the highest taxed state in the nation. He didn’t try to make us a sanctuary state and keep violent illegal criminals here. The Democrats have ruined our public school system, they are responsible for the out of control rents and housing costs. Higher crime rates. Forced vaccinations for young children, making some sick and even dying. Leftist indoctrination of young, impressionable school children into hating our great country. Our out of control lunatic Governor who makes President Trump look tame by comparison. Yes, Democrats should look at what Democrats have done to our once great state.
