It Runs Amuck:
Hypocrisy, lack of transparency and unfair bias, that is, it’s enough to make a guy bat-crap-crazy:
Putting aside the incredible, unbalanced justice of the Hillary/Obama/Comey regime, compared to what’s happening with Trump these days, there is still plenty to address.
Gary Horton of The Signal writing about “No drama Obama” wrote “Ah so boring and bland. And to top it off we were respected internationally so much we could hardly stand it all. It’s gone. All gone.”
Respected internationally? Obama was a disrespected wimp. I guess Horton doesn’t recall Obama talking about the red line in the sand regarding Syria’s use of chemical weapons. When they crossed that red line and we saw the horrifying images of children suffering from the effects of nerve gas, he showed the aggression of a hibernating turtle. Of course, Horton didn’t bring up President Trump taking decisive action like a president should when the same atrocities occurred last year and last week.
Horton goes on with: “Please oh please, help us return to the days of normalcy, days of decency.” Ah, he must be talking about Obama’s IRS confirmed blatant targeting of conservative organizations and him telling a Super Bowl audience there wasn’t a smidgen of evidence to it. Maybe he’s referring to spying on conservative journalists, the lies and deception of Benghazi, Hillary Clinton’s secret server or the Bowe Bergdahl debacle? And who can forget (looks like Horton did) the travesty of the Iran nuclear deal with a ransom payment of $1.3 billion in taxpayer cash to the foundation of terrorism. Now there are strong indications Obama was involved in the spying on Trump’s campaign scandal. Those are the days of normalcy and decency we should all long for?!
There’s More Out There:
Ebony Magazine publishes a “Power 100”; it’s their version of the 100 most influential black people each year in America. They recognize athletes, entertainers (quite a few rap artists), politicians and more. Last year Maxine Waters was their ICON award-winner (yikes); that should tell you right there what the deal is with this program.
Sure enough, from what I have been able to gather, conservative black men who are very influential are nowhere to be found as one of Ebony’s Power 100 members. Walter Williams, a long-time conservative economist and columnist, conservative commentator and author, Thomas Sowell, Senator Tim Scott, former congressmen Allen West and JC Watts have not been recognized. Even Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been left off the list (and Maxine Waters is one of their icons instead of him – you have got to be freaking kidding me).
What about Larry Elder, who has had an influence on hundreds of thousands of radio listeners over the years? I guess his influence doesn’t concur with Ebony’s way of thinking. Juan Williams of Fox News is a big-time liberal, but I guess because he works for a right-leaning network, he’s ineligible.
Where Were They?
When Diamond and Silk, the Trump-loving social media darlings, who happen to be black, were censored from Facebook for being a “danger to the community,” where was the NAACP or the Black Lives Matter organizations? I’m assuming these ladies are not the types of black people that matter when it comes to rights violations?
If Facebook would have done the same thing with two liberal Obama-loving black ladies, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have led a massive march on Facebook’s headquarters. All we heard were crickets on this one. I wonder why.
On it Goes:
When ABC News aired the James Comey interview, they conveniently edited out the portion where Comey was openly critical of Obama’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s email “matter.” What they didn’t edit out was Comey talking about what fervent supporters of Hillary Clinton his wife and daughters are. Now, you don’t think that had anything to do with him letting Hillary slide, right before the election, on the obstruction of justice felonies she committed, do you? I bet Gary Horton thinks it’s just peachy, normal and decent.
It’s funny how the gentleman who conducted the high profile interview with James Comey, George Stephanopoulos, the former White House Communications Director for Bill Clinton, failed to disclose he donated $75,000 to Hillary over the years. You don’t think Stephanopoulos has any bias towards President Trump, which would skew his interview questions with the Trump-hating Comey do you?
What Really Matters?
Do you ever sit and contemplate as to what really matters to you in this life? Okay, maybe you don’t sit and meditate on it, but you know what I mean. I’m sure family and loved ones are at the top of your list, along with career, and most certainly economic issues, affecting you and yours.
I bring this up in light of former porno stars, playboy playmates, prostitutes, people peeing on each other and James Comey’s narcissistic book tour dominating the mainstream news. When President Trump called those third world countries sh*t holes you would have thought the biggest story of the century broke. The mainstream media uttered Trump’s phrase 195 times in one day!
The unfortunate term of “peeing on each other” was mentioned 77 times in recent days. When it was reported Sean Hannity was a client of Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen (which Hannity vehemently denies), the media jumped on it and pronounced it 48 times in one day!
While this garbage is shoved down our throats, the stuff that matters to most of us is pathetically underreported. What most Americans really care about are job prospects for their unemployed friends, future jobs for our kids and grandkids, or maybe even the overall economic upside for the down trodden among us. With that being said, instead of the reports of a healthy GDP, Job growth, unemployment being down, labor participation up and the number of folks on food stamps down, all we saw and heard on ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC were the droning on and on about useless crap (or pee, if you will).
Quips, Quotes & Headlines:
“Why did Jim Comey take so many memos about President Trump, then president-elect or candidate Trump, and no memos about Hillary Clinton? Is that extraordinary?” (Maria Bartiromo on Fox News Sunday).
“Just FYI, we need more libs at The Signal. The two main progressive columnists –me and Anthony Breznican – face a tough audience.” (Josh Heath)
Hey Josh, what are Gary Horton & Jonathan Kraut, chopped liver? Bryan Caforio, Katie Hill and Jess Phoenix all had their columns published in The Signal. They’re not exactly a beacon on a hill for conservatism. (Me)
“Tonight, I ask all Americans to say a prayer for our noble warriors and our allies as they carry out their missions. We pray that God will bring comfort to those suffering in Syria. We pray that God will guide the whole region toward a future of dignity and of peace. And we pray that God will continue to watch over and bless the United States of America.” (President Trump)
“I appreciate that we have a president that understands prayer and solicits prayer. Our country is in trouble, and the world is in trouble. The perplexity of the problems that the president faces every day, at home and abroad, is just incredible.” (Franklin Graham)
“Stormy Daniels should consider herself lucky. If she had been one of Bill Clinton’s bimbos, she may have already been found dead with a gunshot to the back of the head that was ruled as a suicide.” (Tweet from “Educating Liberals”)
“Should Chuck Todd, a former Democrat congressional staffer (his wife is a Democrat operative) cover Democrats as host of Meet the Press?” (Mark Levin)
Walter Cronkite and Tim Russert, among others, were Democrat liberals who were professional enough to not let their left-leaning views come across on news shows. Todd is so devoid of that he should be embarrassed and NBC should have the professionalism to fire him. (Me)
“The perception that the president may have ordered these strikes in part because of scandal will affect the impact and the effectiveness of these military strikes.” (Rachel Maddow, MSNBC)
“This is pathetic. In order to believe this you would have to accept that Trump somehow convinced France, the UK and Israel to ally with the U.S. in order to divert attention from ‘scandal.’ People watch this crap?” (Twitter response to Maddow)
Letter to the Ranter:
In an attempt to achieve truth in advertising I would like to offer a revision of the often quoted phrase found at the foot of our statue of Liberty. It seems there has of late been much confusion as to the exact and original of this simple verse and many re-interpretations have been offered in a seeming attempt to benefit one particular cause or another. So that there should be no further confusion as to the new, true intent and purpose of the phrase, allow me to present my revised rendition here; plain and simple.
“Give me your lame, your lazy, your hooded masses, yearning for free stuff. The wretched refuse of failed societies; send these, the worthless to me. I lift my lamp beside the gold plated door.” Dale
