Sad Déjà Vu:
Sadly another rant following a mass shooting(s), unfortunately this scenario has occurred way too many times over the years. The senseless violence is bewildering enough, but the ultra politicizing of these tragedies that immediately follows each event is equally bewildering.
This is what I have written right after each time in the aftermath of mass shootings.
Why in the world does all of this stuff seem to be happening in droves? Why do we see just a few days go by until another tragedy hits? Is it, as many believe, God slowly removing his hand of protection from the world that has been keeping this bad stuff in check? Is this the beginning of the end, as the Bible describes, or is it a higher rate of mental illness that is invading society? Is it an increased culture of hate that is motivating the mentally ill to act out on their delusions? I’ve always maintained that when Adam and Eve screwed up and God allowed sin and free will into the human race, a ton of unjustly bad stuff has happened to millions of people for many years. Sadly, and unfortunately, what we’re seeing now is not going to end anytime soon.
What really gets me is the hypocrisy eruption of the blame game that happens, particularly since President Trump came into office. Come on, did anyone blame Bernie Sanders when one of his supporters shot up the baseball field where Republican Congressmen where practicing, nearly killing one of them?
The El Paso shooting has resulted in a heap of blame on Trump, but the Dayton shooter was a fan of Elizabeth Warren. Do you hear any blame being shoved her way?
What about the 24 mass shootings that killed 236 and wounded 512 people while Obama was president, did anyone on the right even come close to placing blame on him?
Placing blame on anyone for the actions of mentally ill killers is just plain rubbish making no sense at all. Using the actions of someone with a disease of the brain for political purposes is a crying shame.
I become more and more flabbergasted with each passing day at what left leaning folks are spewing out of their pie holes. In fact, I’m having trouble finding words to use to effectively reflect what my ranting feelings are on the utter stupidity of these words.
The scary thing is the number people who buy into this stupid rhetorical nonsense as reality. I need someone, anyone, to please fill me in on how the following statements can be placed somewhere, anywhere, in the realm of common sense reality – please, I dare you!
Rep. Ilhan Omar:” I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country. And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe — Americans safe inside of this country — we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”
Reza Aslan, professor at the University of California, Riverside: “After today, there is no longer any room for nuance. The president is a white nationalist terror leader, His supporters – ALL OF THEM – are by definition white nationalist terror supporters. The MAGA hat is a KKK hood, and this evil, racist scourge must be eradicated from society.”
Joe Scarborough: “For those of you funding Donald Trump’s re-election campaign, you may want to take note: Because you keep writing checks to this president, it’s on you…because you are funding this white supremacist campaign…It is your money that is funding this white supremacy.”
Kirsten Gillibrand: “The first thing I’m going to do as president is I am going to Clorox the Oval Office,”
Andrew Yang: “We are too late. We are 10 years too late. We need to do everything we can to start moving the climate in the right direction but we also need to start moving our people to higher ground.”
Kirsten Gillibrand: “I can explain it to white women in the suburbs, When their son is walking down the street with a bag of M&Ms in his pocket, wearing a hoodie, his whiteness is what protects him from not being shot.”
Frank Figliuzzi, former FBI assistant director for counterintelligence and MSNBC contributor:”The President said that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August 8th. That’s 8/8. The numbers 88 are very significant in neo-Nazi and white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter H is the eighth letter of the alphabet and, to them, the numbers 88 together stand for Heil Hitler. So, we’re going to be raising the flag back up at dusk on 8/8. No one is thinking about this. No one is giving him the advice or he’s rejecting the advice. So understand your adversary to counter the adversary.”
MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace:”You now have a president, as you said, who is talking about exterminating Latinos”.
Potty Mouth Candidates:
Cory Booker:”Listening to the president, such bull sh-t soup of ineffective words, this is so weak. We should condemn his lack of a real plan.
Tim Ryan:”Mitch McConnell needs to get off his a** and do something. Republicans need to get their sh-t together and stop pandering to the NRA. Period.”
Beto O’Rourke: “What do you think? You know the sh-t he’s been saying. He’s been calling Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals. I don’t know, like, members of the press, what the f–k?”
Gotta Share This:
These are portions of someone else’s rant that ended up in my email.
To the 535 voting members of the Legislature, it is now official that the majority of you are corrupt morons
The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 244 years to get it right and it is broke.
Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 84 years to get it right and it is broke.
Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 81 years to get it right and it is broke.
War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor” and they only want more.
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 49 years to get it right and it is broke.
You have FAILED in every “government service” you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars. I know what’s wrong. We have lost our minds to “Political Correctness!” We’re “broke” & can’t help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc. In the last few months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey…And now Pakistan previous home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!! (And you can’t agree to a simple $5B for a wall to help keep us safe?!!!) Our retired seniors living on a ‘fixed income’ receive no aid nor do they get any breaks…
AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without ‘needed’ meds, and mentally ill without treatment – etc, etc. And the CRAZIES in California want to give “free” medical care to illegal aliens. This is stupid!!! Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave ‘US’ the same support they give to other countries. Sad isn’t it?
Every bit of this is a great example of the absolute incompetence of our government, and the more people who rely on the government the more messed-up things become. This is way I am so pessimistic that a solution to our debt crisis will ever come to pass, as the incompetence leads us down the path to a very painful financial collapse.
