Thank you, Jonathan:
While driving to the office today I wasn’t looking forward to tackling this week’s rant, because all that’s been funneling through my brain is impeachment, impeachment and impeachment. It’s a lot of BS in my book, saturated with such hypocrisy it’s making me you know what (someone told me I use the phrase “bat-crap-crazy” too much so I’m trying to cut back). And while the headline of Jonathan Kraut’s column in Tuesday’s Signal was titled “Either Way it Goes, Impeachment Will Leave a Mark On Us,” it had enough Trump hating in it to save me from ranting on all impeachment, all the time.
“It is not that Trump is a great guy who gets into trouble for simply trying hard to do the right thing. But despite Trump’s bullying, lies, manipulation, salacious past, belittlement of public servants, braggadocio, wild slander of his opponents, selfish views of the world, narcissism, and incompetence, the impeachment process means great suffering for anyone who loves this country.”
I do agree with his assessment of the impeachment process causing pain for the country, but it’s his side that is guilty of causing the suffering with their baseless accusations. Of course you noticed (Not) Kraut’s analyzing of the actual job Trump has done as president with his itemized disagreements on Trump’s policy’s that have been put in place. Nope, instead Jonathan goes right to his true colors of showing disdain for the president’s personality, just as his brethren on the left do 24/7, without mention of a strong economy and all that goes with it that have benefited so many of Kraut’s fellow Americans.
As I’ve alluded to too many times in this space, if I would have attacked Obama’s personality in remotely the same way Jonathan did, every local liberal around would have screamed for a BOYCOTT of the Gazette!
“Trump backers are going to discover that they fell in love with who Trump says he is instead of who he really is. For Trump supporters it will be like someone in a relationship who wishes his or her partner would be the way they seemed when they first met. It will be hard for them to acknowledge that the good, capable and caring person first represented was just putting on an act to gain trust. It will be even harder for them to admit Trump’s true character is actually deficient and unworthy.”
Don’t you just love it when someone on the left tells us Trump supporters how we should feel about him or how we’re going to feel about him, you know, like we’re deplorables for supporting the man. It’s like telling a friend the women he married is a piece of work and he’s going to see in a short while what she is really like, no ifs, ands or buts. The friend would say, “Excuse me, how in the world do you know what’s going to happen and besides that, let me see for myself — don’t tell me how I’m going to feel.”
As for Trump’s supporters, how about this; just like a partner in a relationship, we have difference of opinions and will even get irritated as all get out with their personality quirks, but we recognize and appreciate the qualities they had that initially attracted us to them and realize those qualities are still there for the good of the future despite certain things we don’t like about the person.
“Trump’s us against them narratives have been unproductive and corrupt the spirit of progress. I want any opposition party and my party to find ways to work together to get things done on our behalf instead of always blaming the “other side.” Assigned blame on others is typically out of self-interest and ignores our collective political future.”
Is he serious right now? Narratives that are “unproductive and corrupt the spirit of progress” and blaming Trump for that, really? The rest of his thoughts in this paragraph could easily be describing his own side and would be very accurate.
I ask you, how much good stuff has Trump and his side accomplished compared to Jonathan’s side? Is he telling us the Dems unhealthy obsession with Trump is not out of self-interest and doesn’t ignore our collective political future? Give me a break; his side does not give any rip what so ever about anything other than how they can destroy Trump.
If you ask me, that’s a sure indication of incompetence on Kraut’s side part in striving to do what’s right by us Americans, the person always striving to do that is President Trump, but the Dems are constantly and selfishly throwing strip spikes on his roads; hurting all Americans!
Better Him Than Me:
“Intel Chief’s Patience With Adam Schiff Wears Thin After Hours of Questioning on Whistleblower Complaint” That was the headline after the Chief went through the brutal hearing last week. If it would have been me testifying in front of that congressional committee things may have sounded a little different:
You’ve already asked me the same question six ways to Sunday, do you think I’m that stupid I’ll answer it differently this time?
Have you even been paying attention to any of my testimony because if you have, you would know I already answered that question 15 different times!
You are such a freaking hypocrite, first you tell me I’m an honorable and good man and you’re not disparaging the job I’m doing, then you proceed to rip me to shreds because I didn’t do what you think I should have done and when I should have done it, so you can kiss my butt as I get the hell out of here, because I’m not listening to or answering your dumb poop questions in such condescending terms any more today.
And another thing, you people are showing your true colors and intelligence levels, because if you think what the president said to the Ukranian president is an impeachable offense you need to have your collective heads examined.
Don’t Let Them!
Whether you, your loved ones, friends and acquaintances are left of center, right of center or right down the middle, know that watching CNN, MSNBC and the three over the air networks we will be inundated with impeachment news and opinion. It’s plain and simple—in my opinion, watching those networks gives such a skewed side of the story it distorts reality, which is a shame when it comes to the novice who is new to this sort of stuff.
Of course I urge all of you to watch Fox News, not because they have a definite slant towards Trump and the right wing view of things, but because they are much more professional in presenting both sides of this impeachment issue. Almost every one of their opinion panels includes a left wing Trump detractor to counter the Trump supporters. I believe it comes closest to showing both sides of a story, letting the viewer decide.
The Media Research Center (MRC) found that since Trump took office 89% of those network’s coverage of the President is negative. Watch CNN or MSNBC for a half an hour and then switch over to Fox News, if you’re like me you’ll find it astonishing they’re covering the same story.
How many Americans have been pushed into passionate impeachment rage because they tuned into a news network to simply be informed like their parents and grandparents did back in the day, only to be smothered with propaganda similar to how state sponsored networks do in China and Russia? As an example, when doing so they hear over and over the made up crap Adam Schiff spewed in the committee hearing last week with his reciting of the infamous Trump phone call. How many unsuspecting folks took it to be the gospel truth because no one on those networks had the professional decency to inform their viewers it was a fictional account?!
I gotta go, I just busted the exclamation key by pounding it too hard!

Letters to the Ranter:
What a disappointment it was reading Jonathan Kraut’s column in this past Tuesday’s Signal. Most of it read like it came right out of the mouths of MSNBC and CNN “Political Experts”. At least it was at a level above Robert De Niro. Tom
Regarding your chat with our non- representative Christy Smith who evidently doesn’t see you as a devil anymore, is she willing to prove she isn’t a devil herself by calling off her anti-free speech fascists and instead have them phone your former advertisers to say they should start placing advertisements again? If she isn’t, that proves she’s a despicable hypocrite. She should know you’ve always had columns in your paper that you disagree with politically. What a travesty of an anti-American she must be, not to mention weakling, to try shutting down opposing views. Richard
