SILENTS Under The Stars Returns to William S. Hart Park Friends of Hart Park Present Annual Fundraiser
Get ready for a unique opportunity to experience the film history of the Santa Clarita Valley in a setting like no other. SILENTS Under the Stars returns to William S. Hart Regional Park on Saturday, August 10, from 6-10 p.m. Presented by the Friends of Hart Park, this unique fundraiser allows guests to view “Square Deal Sanderson,” a 1919 silent film starring William S. Hart with live musical accompaniment by Ray Lowe. This unforgettable experience will take place under the majestic oaks at Hart Hall.
In addition to the movie, guests will enjoy an authentic barbecue meal, grilled up by Rattlers BBQ, musical entertainment by the Grateful Dudes bluegrass band and a chance to tour the Hart Mansion. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on some historic and unique items in a silent auction. These items include; original artwork by local Santa Clarita artists, LA Conservancy Walking Tour of Choice for 15 people, Disney Concert Hall tickets, custom hand-painted Vans shoes with images of Hart and Fritz, a family lifestyle photo session, collectibles, a variety of gift baskets and much, much more!
Nancy Gallardo, chair of SILENTS, say this is a unique experience, one you don’t often have an opportunity to enjoy. “I am honored to be the chair for this 11th annual SILENTS Under the Stars,” Gallardo said. “This is the largest fundraiser of the year for Friends of Hart Park. The community has been very generous, donating some wonderful items to our silent auction, which is always a big hit.”
All proceeds from SILENTS benefit Hart Park and the Hart Park animals. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased on-line through EventBrite at friendsofhartpark.org/silents or by calling (661) 222-9542.
