For those who love a good Spiegeltent, this Sunday, January 13, the inaugural Spiegeltent Americana Roots Music Festival will be held at Wolf Creek Brewery in support of First Responders Outreach of the Gary Sinise Foundation.
Join the following groups for an afternoon of blues, country, Zydeco, bluegrass, roots rock, folk and more in the unique environment of the 71-year-old Spiegeltent for the very first Spiegeltent Americana Roots Music Festival.
Teresa James and the Rhythm Tramps
Texas born and bred Teresa James and her band The Rhythm Tramps, made up of L.A.-based seasoned pro musicians, and who have backed such artists as Eric Burdon, Keb Mo, Delbert McClinton, Tom Jones, Kenny Loggins (to mention just a few), will be playing songs from all 10 of Teresa’s albums, including songs from their Grammy-nominated “Here In Babylon” Best Contemporary Blues Album of 2018.
There is no one else like the Doo-Wah Riders. For 40 years, they have been riding their own patch of the musical range throughout the West. They possess the rare combination of many years of experience and youthful energy, fired by a love for what they do. The Doo-Wahs are country, with a unique, original sound. They define their sound as “high energy country with a cajun twist.” Their tight musicianship and powerful arrangements of classic, contemporary, and original songs have made them favorites everywhere they go.
Phil Salazar and Friends
Phil Salazar has been one of the mainstays in California bluegrass for a good many years. He has pulled bluegrass in many directions and he has played in many memorable configurations over the years. As an entertainer, teacher, record producer, champion fiddler, Phil is a master fiddler who straddles the borders between traditional bluegrass and contemporary sound. He is a world-wide performer who has fielded his own bands, produced several recordings, and recorded and or performed with Bob Weir, Kenny Loggins, Chris Hillman, Kate Wolf, Jon Jorgenson, Albert Lee, Gilles Apap, Kix Brooks, Chris Thile, Clint Black, Zak Brown, Dwight Yoakam, Gary Mule Deer, Dave Mason, David Grisman, John and Jonathan McEuen and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pete Sears, Van Dyke Parks, Peter Rowan.
Kelly’s Lot Featuring Eddie Baytos
Kelly’s Lot is a mix of Roots/Rock, Rhythm and Blues and Folk Music. Kelly Z and her “Lot” came together in 1995, have released 13 CDs and have toured nationally and internationally for the last 10 years. They will be joined by Eddie Baytos and his Cajun-infused music and energy. Eddie is well known as the founder of the band, The Nervis Brothers.
This afternoon of entertainment is open to all ages. The price for general admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door (upon availability). Reserved seating is $20 only in advance. Reserved six-seat VIP Booth tickets are $150, also only in advance.
