You Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Make You Mad – Aldous Huxley

| Opinion | February 20, 2020

Sometime in 2021.

Congratulations to President Bernie. Upon being sworn in and with the force of an absolute monarch or fascist dictator, his presidential edicts have all been put into place. No one dare challenge for fear of drawing the ire of Hollywood, the mainstream media and the legions of Brownshirts who occupy our newly free institutions of higher education. Welcome to the Brave New World and Land of the Lotus Eaters where the populace now lives in blissful ignorance.

Polling booths have been established in our prisons. With programs of early release, the end of requiring bail for the accused; gang members, felons and drug dealers have become the newest protected class. The only requirement is that they will be monitored to ensure that they vote Democrat. Those who object are charged with the mega felony of being racist, rich and sober. All drugs, opiates and marijuana except for those for medical use have been legalized.

Throughout the land, millions of our unemployable, drug-addicted citizens are being found on the streets convulsing from overdosing. Billboards proudly proclaim, “Do not worry, if you O.D., medical care is now free.” Unwanted child disposal stations, formerly known as Planned Parenthood, in addition to providing alternative lifestyle sex-ed at middle schools, (oops, they were doing that before), contraceptives and abortion on demand, and they are also providing free stomach pumps.

Homelessness still is prevalent but there have been major changes in the makeup of the homeless population. Former billionaires who have now paid their last full measure can be seen on the streets sharing needles (Do not worry if you O.D., medical care is now free”) and begging for $100 bills which is now worth about two cents due to the devaluation of the dollar. The former homeless who are now living in government subsidized penthouses, have shown their entrepreneurial spirit by selling their furniture and fixtures to pay for grey market non-government drugs.

Harvard’s entrance exams are now written in emojis. All history books have been banned without protest; no students were able read them anyway. Cursive writing has been replaced by cursing rapping. (Sorry, that has been happening for years.)
I am relieved to say that this story of “Paradise Gained” after the election of President Sanders is a fantasy and in reality, is a tale of “Paradise Lost” for dominant Democrats.

Immediately after President Elect Bernie Sanders had sworn his oath of office, where he promised to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic, he was charged with committing perjury and the House Speaker Kevin McCarthy began impeachment proceedings. After the impeachment of the President of the United States, his case was referred to the Senate for trial, President Bernie Sanders was found guilty and was removed from office.
Vice President Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, having not yet reached the age of 35, was ineligible to serve as President. Speaker of the House Republican Kevin McCarthy was then sworn in as President of the United States with a Republican majority in both the House and the Senate. President McCarthy went on to appoint four more originalist Judges to the Supreme Court. Due to the establishment of nationwide School Choice, historians proclaimed the McCarthy era as the second Renaissance. The new president presided over greatest era of Peace and Prosperity in the History of the United States.

On a sadder note, all the Hollywood luminaries moved to socialist heaven in Venezuela where they ended up either dying of starvation or poor sanitation due to the lack of toilet paper. Rest in peace.

  1. I think your scenario sounds far better than what we have now, with a corrupt ignoramus in the White House.
And, btw, cursive writing is actually on its way back. Currently 25 states have policies in force to teach it, 5 have legislation pending (WI passed a bill today), 10 leave it up to the school district, and only 10 do not have any requirement to teach it.
