This week’s list of individuals charged with driving under the influence with prior arrests featured some ironies in the “occupation” column. There were professions from pilot to dentist listed. They include the following:

27-year-old salesman from Redondo Beach
20-year-old construction worker from Canyon Country
22-year-old unemployed Lancaster man
38-year-old construction worker from Arleta
29-year-old Palmdale man who works in avionics
44-year-old engineer from Goleta
44-year-old business owner from Palmdale
38-year-old pilot from Edwards Air Force Base
23-year-old server from Saugus
43-year-old compounder from Panorama City
34-year-old landscaper from North Hollywood
43-year-old contractor from Reseda
38-year-old plumber from San Fernando
26-year-old manager from Valencia

Five individuals were brought up on charges of getting credit/other’s I.D. last week. They included a 29-year-old graphic designer, an unemployed 19-year-old and a 22-year-old mechanic, all from Los Angeles, as well as an 18-year-old Riverside student and a 27-year-old man from Homeland, Calif.
A 25-year-old unemployed Canyon Country woman, a 46-year-old steam cleaner from North Hollywood and a 20-year-old unemployed Canoga Park man were brought in for possession of a controlled substance.
A 26-year-old Valencia housewife and an unemployed 46-year-old Vallejo man were charged with corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, and a 36-year-old Newhall waitress was brought up on charges of battery against a former spouse.
A 21-year-old electrical technician from Valencia was charged with resisting an officer.
A 40-year-old Canyon Country woman was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon without a firearm, likely to cause great bodily injury.
A 28-year-old welder from Valencia was arrested for burglary. A 25-year-old tile setter from Santa Clarita was brought in for robbery. And a 55-year-old Canyon Country man was charged with petty theft.
Last week’s pseudo-unusual charges included one that the Gazette has never reported before. A 44-year-old Valencia homemaker was charged with refusing to leave property upon the request of a police officer.
A 22-year-old server from Bellflower was arrested for false imprisonment. And a 21-year-old Castaic man was arrested for preventing/dissuading a witness/victim from a repo.
