There were some interesting facts in this week’s police reports. A 20-year-old Newhall man who listed his occupation as “deli dude” was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm, with great bodily injury. A 20-year-old Newhall construction worker got the same charges.
A 25-year-old Canyon Country man refused to give his occupation when he received a charge of driving under the influence with prior arrests.

A 22-year-old security guard from North Hollywood was brought up on charges of reckless driving.
There were a lot of alleged corporal injuries in the last week. Two unemployed Val Verde men – a 30-year-old and a 27-year-old – were charged with corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, as well as a 23-year-old warehouse worker from Canyon Country and a 23-year-old nurse from Newhall. A 23-year-old actor from Lancaster was arrested for corporal injury on a child. A 38-year-old Valencia man who works as a technician and a 45-year-old pipe fitter from Canyon Country were arrested for battery against a former spouse.
A 43-year-old Palmdale man was picked up for possession of a narcotic/drug/alcohol/drug paraphernalia in jail. A 26-year-old Burbank broker was charged with bringing drugs/drug paraphernalia to jail/prison.
Also, two Van Nuys women – a 30-year-old medical assistant and a 53-year-old caregiver – were arrested for possession of a narcotic/drug/alcohol/drug paraphernalia in jail.

A 35-year-old Canyon Country man was charged with making criminal threats.
A 21-year-old machine operator from Sun Valley was charged with resisting an officer.
Robbery charges went to a 41-year-old unemployed Arleta woman and an unemployed 21-year-old Valencia woman.
A 24-year-old Valencia man was brought in for receiving known stolen property valued at greater than $400. And a 19-year-old Newhall woman was picked up for attempting to take a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
