Police Blotter and Crime Around the Neighborhood

On Dec. 18 a residential burglary was reported on the 31600 block of Castaic Road at 9:21 p.m.

On Dec. 24 at 5 a.m. a burglary was called in from the 31700 block of Castaic Road.

Two vehicle grand thefts were reported in Newhall – one on Dec. 26 on the 25200 block of Atwood Blvd at 2:45 a.m. and the other on Dec. 25 on the 24300 block of Arcadia St at 4 a.m.

A petty theft was alleged on the 24800 block of Newhall Ave at 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Canyon Country
On the 19300 block of Soledad Canyon Road on Dec. 23 at 11:04 p.m. a robbery with a weapon was reported. Also on Dec. 23 grand theft of a vehicle was alleged on the 27500 block of Sierra Hwy at 3:15 p.m.


There were two alleged vehicle burglaries – one on the 23600 block of Wilmington on Dec. 21. at 11:45 p.m. and the other on the 23900 block of Clayton Ct on Dec. 22 at 5 a.m. A petty theft was reported on the 23600 block of Sunderland Ct on Dec. 21 at 4 a.m.
Stevenson Ranch
A residential burglary was reported on Dec. 16 at 6:10 p.m. on the 25700 block of Thurber Way. On the 27500 block of Perlman Place on Dec. 19 a petty theft was alleged at 11:30 a.m. And on Dec. 22 at 3:33 a.m. there was a call of petty theft from an auto on the 26100 block of Singer Place.

Santa Clarita
On the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive, there was a charge of petty theft on Dec. 17 at 12:30 p.m. A grand theft was called in at 4:45 p.m. on the 21400 block of Golden Triangle Road on Dec. 21. And a burglary was reported on the 26500 block of Golden Valley Road at 7:25 a.m. on Dec. 24.

A burglary was reported on the 27700 block of McBean Pkwy at 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 21. Another burglary was reported at 3:45 a.m. on the 24200 block of Valencia Blvd that same morning.

An unemployed 53-year-old Canyon Country man and a 20-year-old construction worker from Littlerock, Calif. were cited for theft of personal property.

An unemployed 32-year-old Canyon Country man was arrested for terrorizing/causing fear.

A 34-year-old plumber from Newhall and a 56-year-old laborer from Newhall were arrested for corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant.

A 25-year-old warehouse worker from Newhall was arrested for assault likely to produce great bodily injury.

A 29-year-old unemployed Chula Vista man was picked up for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. And a 20-year-old cook from Newhall was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, dirk or dagger, on his person.

An unemployed 23-year-old Simi Valley man was brought up on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

A 59-year-old Glendale man who works in scheduling was arrested for terrorizing/causing fear. A 29-year-old Air Force recruiter from Santa Clarita, a 54-year-old bank teller from Canyon Country, a 23-year-old bus boy from Canyon Country, a 66-year-old retired Canyon Country man and a 43-year-old product specialist from Santa Clarita were arrested for battery against a former spouse. Also, a 52-year-old unemployed Canyon Country woman was charged with battery on a non-cohabitating former spouse.

Also, an unemployed 29-year-old Valencia woman was picked up for defacing property.

An unemployed 28-year-old Canyon Country man was charged with taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. And a 47-year-old actress from Burbank was cited for drunk driving/addict driving a vehicle.

A self-employed 26-year-old Valencia man was arrested for recklessly causing fire of property.

A 21-year-old stocker from Canyon Country was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, dirk or dagger, on his person.

35-year-old customer service representative from Stevenson Ranch
24-year-old stuntman from Acton
26-year-old machinist from Palmdale
33-year-old project manager from Los Angeles
