“I have great girlfriends on the team and (I) like that my mom helps coach the Divas,” said Kayla. “I always try my hardest to make good shots.”
“I am so proud of Kayla and the Divas,” said Valerie, Kayla’s mother and coach. “The girls are all very positive and they try their hardest.”
Kayla will be graduating from Canyon High School very soon and will be attending COC, and she is really looking forward to her senior trip to Disneyland.
Darci Price has been in the Special Olympics (SO) for four years. She plays soccer, softball, and is on the women’s basketball team, the Diva Sharks. She is known to always listen and give 100 percent to the game.
Darci loves being on the Diva’s basketball team because, “I enjoy my teammates. We are buddies and we work together.”
Special Olympics is a way of life for the Price family, as David, Darci’s husband, is an SO coach.
During the week, Darci works at a local grocery store.
