There are moments in life that change the course of your path drastically, some for the better and some for the worse. The death of my father from lung cancer sparked the flame that would become Tattoos Cure Cancer (TCC). This moment changed my life for the better by giving me an outlet where I can donate my time and energy to a worthy charitable cause – curing cancer.
This spark began in 2004 and after years of thoughts, conversations and planning, I finally got the ball rolling to make my dream a reality. Our first official event was held on November 3, 2013 and included artists from across the U.S. coming together and donating their time to do cancer ribbon tattoos. We had a great turn out, successfully raising over $10,000 and those funds were donated to Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
In 2014, we are focusing our efforts on tattoo conventions with the intent of taking our charity world wide. By linking up with other tattoo artists and tattoo shops, we can raise more money for the people affected by cancer. Our ultimate goal is to sponsor victims of this horrible disease and help ease outside financial factors while they are fighting for their lives.
Tattoos Cure Cancer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping the victims of cancer by raising money through cancer ribbon tattoos and selling merchandise.
