Now unbeaten to start the season United (3-0-1; 10 points) got another outstanding performance from their goalkeeper Casey Phillips who saved the game as soon as it started in the 5th minute making a huge stop after So Cal Real (0-1-0; 0 points) took advantage of a defensive error that left him exposed.

Valley United Soccer Club goalkeeper Casey Phillips was in outstanding form as usual making a few great saves.
With the clubs having a strong rivalry that developed over the years as the youth programs yearly compete against each other for players and championships, United let go of their jitters and began to play the style of the beautiful game they specialize in an attacking mentality that Coach Laura Garcia has schemed being a whiz of tactic.
Despite United controlling play for most of the first half, their new striker Carlos Contreras could not convert any shots into goals. Possibly feeling some of the pressure of filling the boots of the teams leading scorer striker Tristan Korras who left the squad for a job in Maryland with Lockhead, Contreras found his footing.
Looking to avoid their first defeat of the season, United started off the second half attacking taking the game to another level with this being So Cal Real’s first UPSL regular season match getting their feet wet for this higher level of play.

Valley United Soccer Club still a top the Northwest Conferance in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) with a 2-0 victory.
Contreras confirmed their will be no let up in Korras absence from United finding the back of the net receiving a thru ball from Kamyar Emami just after the 62nd minute going one on one with the So Cal Real goalie. Only ten minutes later Contreras set the final score as the ball found his boot on a cross from Tyler Horcher that was a spectacular shot and his second goal.
Seeming as though mother nature wanted to mirror United’s fiery play, temperatures on the field reached 98 degrees causing Coach Garcia to change her game plan mid match deploying a defensive stance to finish the game seeing out their third win in a as many weeks to start the season.
